Christian
Steel
Christian
first began performing stand-up comedy in October 2005, but
his high energy performances and quality material are already
winning over audiences across the country. He recently reached
the final of "Stand Up or Die" at London's Canal Cafe Theatre,
and is also in the 2006 semi-final of the Amused Moose Laugh
Off competition.
Currently available
for 15min sets or compere slots, Christian is surely destined
to become a much sought after comedian on the UK comedy club
circuit.
Before
beginning his stand-up career, Christian
graduated from London's prestigious Academy of Music and Dramatic
Art. Soon after, he was offered the male-lead in a theatre
production of "The Graduate" opposite Jerry Hall, but actually
turned it down to play Peter "Geordie" Gardner in BBC's WW2
film "Night Flight" starring Christopher Plummer
and Edward Woodwood. Christian then went on to film
"Shackleton" (HBO/Channel4Films) with Kenneth Branagh
- actually living on an ice breaker in the North Pole for
5 months.
Christian
has also acted in a number of other television programmes,
as well as performing live for a season
with the Royal Shakespeare company in "Coriolanus and
The Merry Wives of Windsor".
